Our Story

A banner built for a son. A studio built on his legacy.

Enigma Entertainment Group LLC began in 2018 as Enigma Entertainment Productions, a small banner created for our son, writer-director Nathan Hewitt, upon his graduation from LA Film School to produce his original films and music.

Today, Enigma exists both to honour Nathan's legacy and to champion new, original storytelling in independent film.

  1. 2018

    Enigma Entertainment Productions is founded for Nathan's films and music.

  2. 2022

    reTribution, Nathan's first commercial-quality short film, is completed.

  3. 2023

    Days after reTribution won Best Nebraska Short Narrative at its premiere at the Omaha Film Festival, Nathan died in a tragic accident.

  4. Today

    Encouraged by a distribution agreement from 7 Palms Entertainment LLC and by outreach from Nathan's former collaborators, we formalized Enigma Entertainment Group LLC, continuing to develop Nathan's remaining stories while supporting other independent creatives.
